Operations Project Manager, AI Safety Services — Turn complex AI‑data projects into on‑time, on‑budget victories.

Our AI Safety Services team delivers everything from massive data‑labeling programs to model‑testing pipelines, often under aggressive deadlines. We are seeking a hands‑on Operations Project Manager who combines project‑management rigor with enough technical fluency to align engineers, annotators, and data scientists. Your goal: ship projects fast, at scale, and with quality that clients can measure.

What you’ll do

• Own end‑to‑end execution — from scoping and task‑template creation through annotation, model‑pipeline setup, QA, and deployment hand‑off.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams — engineers, annotators, data scientists, GTM leads, and client stakeholders.
• Build & automate workflows — create Asana projects; script Python / SQL jobs for metrics and QC checks.
• Track & report KPIs — timelines, throughput, quality, margin, and resource utilisation; dashboards in Looker, Power BI, or Streamlit.
• Drive continuous improvement — identify bottlenecks, run retros, and implement SOP updates that scale to the next project.
• Maintain artefacts — SOWs, RACI charts, risk registers, and knowledge‑base pages that keep the team aligned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver flawlessly — Hit scope, schedule, and budget targets across multiple concurrent AI‑data projects.
• Boost efficiency — Automate reporting, surface KPIs, and drive process improvements that cut cycle times and cost.
• Keep clients happy — Maintain crystal‑clear communication and documentation so stakeholders always know status, risks, and next steps.

Experiences you’ll bring

• 3–5 years managing technical projects or operations in data, AI, or software domains.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile/Scrum or Kanban workflows (JIRA, Asana, Linear, or similar).
• Proven record delivering projects with distributed or remote‑first teams.
• Comfort translating between technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Core skills you\'ll need

• Project‑management excellence — scoping, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder comms.
• Lightweight scripting — Python or similar for automation, data manipulation, and report generation.
• SQL & dashboards — query data warehouses and build KPI views.
• Tool savvy — familiarity with annotation platforms (Label Studio, Labelbox) and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Process mindset — design SOPs/playbooks and iterate quickly based on feedback.

Nice to have: MLOps exposure, experience with LLM‑driven automation, or knowledge of security / compliance requirements in data operations.
