A global HVAC company in Saltillo is seeking a Trade Compliance Manager to oversee import/export processes, ensure adherence to regulations, and lead a compliance team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in trade compliance, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex regulations. Proficiency in SAP and intermediate English skills are required for this role.

Formación

  • 8-9 years of related experience in trade compliance.
  • Solid understanding of Import and Export Compliance rules.
  • Intermediate English, B1 level or Toefl 500pts.

Job Description

Responsible for the team that manages the import/export process and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Establishes and enhances trade compliance program. Established, implements and monitors metrics for measuring trade compliance, effectiveness and continuous improvement. Interfaces with customs officials, other government agencies, legal counsel and trade, compliance consultants. Manages the trade compliance team and provides cross functional leadership on trade compliance.

Responsible for best practices and forging legal trade compliance in day-to-day export and import operations. Develops compliance procedures and record keeping program. Monitors and leads import and export practices to ensure full compliance with regulations. Provides expert assistance with import and export documentation. Manages classification database and product classifications related to the Harmonized Tariff System, Export and Import Control Classification Numbers. Facilitates product qualification under the various Free Trade Agreements. Works with corporate compliance, applicable divisions and departments, external brokers, agents and attorneys to resolve internal foreign trade and customs compliance issues. Resolve clearance issues as required. Support in monitoring and measure Broker performance. Solid understanding of Import and Export Compliance rules and regulation regarding Annex 24, Annex 30, IMMEX, PROSEC, CIVA, Virtual Operation, Scrap, Fixed Asset, HTS, CTPAT, AEO etc., including, but not limited to, the Export Administration Regulations and U.S. Customs Regulations. Annex 24 Inventory Control System and updating and legal compliance regarding Annex 30. Virtual Operation and Scrap disposal. Legal stay of fixed assets. Ensure compliance according IMMEX, PROSEC, OEA and CIVA programs and certifications. Foreign and Customs Trade Compliance Standard Processes, KPI´s Knowledge and maintenance of compliance percentage of more than 80% of each of one.

Qualifications
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or engineering.
  • Requires at least 8 – 9 years related experience.
  • Solid understanding of Import and Export Compliance rules and regulations regarding Annex 24 Inventory Control System , Annex 30, IMMEX, PROSEC, CIVA, Virtual Operation, Scrap, Fixed Asset, Harmonized Tariff Classification, Recordkeeping, and Management, CTPAT & AEO Management, Free Trade Agreements Qualification as USMCA, Legal Customs Record Keeping, including, but not limited to the Export Administration Regulations and U.S. Customs Regulations.
