Maintenance Automation Engineer

Objective

Responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of control and automation systems. Ensure the efficient and safe operation of production equipment. Support the execution of operational and technical tasks (automation, electronics, robotics, instrumentation) to guarantee system availability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide electronic support to ensure operational equipment availability and reduce unplanned downtime risks.
  • Collaborate on automation activities with internal personnel and subcontractors.
  • Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Define and implement standards for electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and automation components (sensors, VFDs, HMI, PLCs, I/Os, safety devices, servomotors, servovalves, instruments, transducers).
  • Establish standards for structured programming of PLCs, HMIs, OPCs, robots, and safety logic, coordinating with central areas.
  • Ensure proper implementation of equipment such as HMI, PLC, I/O, safety systems, and servomotors.
  • Implement and maintain links between OT and IT networks.
  • Develop projects aligned with Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Implement monitoring systems for critical assets in production, quality, and maintenance areas.
  • Validate control and automation solutions from suppliers.
  • Develop projects to reduce electrical/electronic equipment usage.
  • Train technicians and engineers on automation infrastructure and control technologies.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Industrial Electronics Engineering, or Automation Engineering.
  • Skills: Organization, attention to detail, active listening, communication, proactivity, responsibility.
  • Knowledge in PLC programming, HMI, automation systems, SCADA, industrial networks, communication protocols, OT networks, electronics, Industry 4.0.
