A global manufacturing firm is seeking a Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt to lead process improvement projects in Ciénega de Flores. Job Summary

Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt leads, manages and supports projects related to process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma and project management methodologies to achieve business goals. Lead cross-functional project teams to successfully deliver complex business integrations, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean transformation efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Apply program and project management principles to effectively manage scope, timeline, resources and risk across the lifecycle of strategic initiatives.
  • Independently lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives, ensuring measurable results in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Employ Six Sigma methodology & Lean initiatives to identify improvement opportunities, implement and control process improvements to meet business goals and objectives.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in the areas of Operational efficiency, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and others including supporting systems and tools.
  • Identify, lead, and manage OIA projects to drive cost savings across the facility.
  • In addition to technical skills, the 6 Sigma Black Belt needs to demonstrate strong team leadership competencies.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related to the field
  • Expert Six Sigma Black Belt or Project Management
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • English Advanced
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Skills

Six Sigma Methodology:

  • Knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology
  • Ability to use the methodology to improve the manufacturing processes
  • Control the improvements by eliminating root causes.

Analytical Thinking:

  • Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis
  • Ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems
  • Create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Project Management:

  • Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics
  • Ability to plan, organize, monitor, control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Influencing:

  • Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies
  • Ability to impact decisions and engage cross functional team in the projects.

  • Certification in 6 Sigma Black Belt
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
