A leading global financial services firm is seeking a Vice President to join their Latin America Subsidiary Banking Group in Mexico City. The successful candidate will manage relationships with Chinese multinational clients, supporting their banking needs across the region. Fluency in Mandarin is required. Key responsibilities include business development, client analysis, and internal collaboration. Ideal applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree and experience managing complex banking opportunities in a corporate environment.

Formación

  • Proven ability to build and develop senior client relationships, especially with Chinese multinational corporations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-product, and multi-country banking opportunities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate banking products and services.

Responsabilidades

As a Vice President in the Latin America Subsidiary Banking Group, you will be based in Mexico City or Sao Paulo and report to the Head of Latin America Subsidiary Banking.

You will manage and grow relationships with Chinese multinational clients’ subsidiaries across LATAM, supporting their cash management, trade, FX & rates, and financing needs.

Job Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
  • Build and strengthen relationships with Treasurers and CFOs of Chinese corporate clients operating in Latin America.
  • Educate clients on J.P. Morgan’s corporate banking capabilities and solutions tailored for their Latin American subsidiaries.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for both local subsidiaries and headquarters in Greater China.
Business Development & Origination
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by partnering with subsidiary and headquarter bankers, as well as product specialists.
  • Lead client discussions to understand strategic needs and propose relevant banking solutions.
  • Develop forward-looking business plans for clients and maintain ongoing engagement to support their growth.
Client Analysis & Solution Delivery
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of client operations to identify needs across payments, trade, escrow, derivatives, capital markets, credit, risk management, and asset management.
  • Convert client insights into actionable financial solutions, collaborating with product partners for seamless execution.
  • Escalate client requirements to drive product innovation and development.
Internal Collaboration & Coordination
  • Coordinate coverage strategy and deal execution with headquarter and subsidiary bankers, as well as product partners.
  • Conduct regular cross-functional reviews with local and regional teams to ensure consistent client management and maximize business opportunities.
Risks & Controls
  • Maintain a strong risk and control framework, ensuring strict adherence to KYC, AML, GFCC, PAD, PEP, and reputation risk standards.
Travel
  • Travel required to Greater China and within Latin America to support client relationships and business development.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Native or fluent Mandarin speaker required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and develop senior client relationships, especially with Chinese multinational corporations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-product, and multi-country banking opportunities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate banking products and services.
  • Solid credit and analytical skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with corporate bankers and product specialists across regions and functions.
