We are seeking an experienced IT Analyst – System Administrator to join our team. This role will be responsible for performing testing activities, leading implementation planning reviews, supporting disaster recovery activities, collaborating on release process improvements, and managing deployment and implementation plans. The IT Analyst will also develop scripts and automation tools, support infrastructure projects, establish system monitoring processes, assist with application change management, handle security access requests, and provide hands-on support for applications and infrastructure. Additionally, they will create security models, review and approve security requests, and manage security definitions for HR applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform testing activities across assigned projects, ensuring quality, reliability, system safety, and application security.
  • Lead and participate in implementation planning reviews within the group.
  • Support disaster recovery activities and maintain disaster recovery plans for applications supported by the Global HRIT team.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve release processes, including automated regression testing, UAT, and release management.
  • Produce deployment, run books, and implementation plans.
  • Develop scripts and automation tools for building, integrating, and deploying software releases.
  • Support infrastructure projects, such as server hardware, database systems, middleware, and web server components.
  • Establish and maintain effective system monitoring processes to ensure system availability and performance.
  • Support the application change management process, including the migration of application changes between development, test, and production systems.
  • Handle security access requests for operating systems and databases, following the approved access request process for HR applications.
  • Provide hands-on application and infrastructure support as needed.
  • Create security models based on end user responsibilities and define internal security controls.
  • Review and approve Workday/HR application security requests and maintain proper documentation.
  • Assist in granting security access to HR applications and manage and update the security definitions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with testing methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of release management processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with server hardware, database systems, middleware, and web server components.
  • Experience in system monitoring and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of application change management processes.
  • Understanding of security access controls and approval processes.
  • Ability to provide hands-on support for applications and infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
