Responsibilities

The Inside Sales Representative position will be responsible for initiating calls to prospects, building the sales funnel, fueling a growing sales organization, coordinating sales activities through interactions with customers, account managers, head office, procurement, engineering, warehouse, marketing, and customer service. This role will leverage emails, calls, social and other creative channels to generate opportunities for MISUMI in targeted industry segments and geography.

  • Research targeted companies to identify key contacts, uncover and create opportunities to drive growth of the sales funnel.
  • Outbound cold calling design engineers, mechanical engineers, buyers or other engineering professionals and technical personnel at companies defined by marketing campaigns, communicating a complete understanding of the products available from MISUMI.
  • Prospect, educate and quality lead to sales-ready opportunities.
  • Partner with sales and marketing leaders to develop a targeted account strategy.
  • Qualify leads generated by marketing campaigns and events in a timely manner.
  • Keep abreast of the company’s products, industry and relevant technologies to ensure you are a trusted resource to prospects and customers.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as customer service, head office, engineering, and procurement for daily activities.
  • Provide troubleshooting for customer orders, account statuses and related activities.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify sales performance.
  • Assist Inside sales supervisor in accounts receivable matters and consideration of customer credit changes.
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
