- As part of PMC Engineering group, you will be one among the team designing & sustaining portable gas detectors
- Be able to work in multidisciplinary team Perform Electronics system development, schematic design, Circuit simulation, detailed design, working with regulatory agencies, verification testing & interfacing with cross functional teams while meeting the requirements.
- Coordinate team efforts of interdisciplinary engineers (Mechanical, Firmware, ECAD, Evaluation) for design of product and potential risk identification.
- Perform design analysis results (Stress, Tolerance, Error budgeting, Timing, power etc) and provide technical expertise for design trade off.
- Design the electrical architecture of SIL2 IEC 61508 product considering the usability, functionality, regulatory and compliance aspects
- Work with operations and supply chain to ensure manufacturability of the product and participate in production test equipment development and design transfer activities.
- Additional responsibilities include proof of concept firmware development, data acquisition software applications, technical report generation, documentation & progress reporting.
- Maintain high quality documentation of the entire design as required by quality organization.
- Perform hands-on work in the lab, as required.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- B. S/ M.S in Electronics Engineering / 3 to 5 years of experience
- Hands on experience with Micro Processor based systems, Analog & Digital system design, Power Supply Design and Interfacing with Sensors.
- Experience in end-to-end qualification testing for compliance and solving EMI issues to meet the required standards. In-depth knowledge of standards such as IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-1 etc
- Minimum two complete product development life cycle experience (initiation, POC, design validation, launch and post release maintenance).
- Ability to automate data acquisition tasks with PC software like LabVIEW or Python
- Good knowledge of various communication protocols such as USB, DDR, SGMII, HDMI, SPI, and I2C. Exposure to Wireless Interfaces like WiFi and BLE
- Hands on experience with circuits design and error budgeting.
- Ability to statistically analyse data with software tools like MS Excel/MATLAB/Minitab
WE VALUE
- Good understanding of Optical spectroscopy, Laser-spectroscopy based gas detection
- Ability to develop embedded programs in C-language
- Knowledge of six sigma principles in product design & development.
- Prefer working experience with analog Sensor signal conditioning circuits with micro-Controllers / Processor integration
- IEC 61508 / IEC 61511 standard awareness for Product design like PFD / HFT.
