Trade Content Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Trade Content Specialist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing customer-facing content that positions the company as a trusted advisor in the global trade community. This role is critical for driving inbound leads and establishing thought leadership during a period of significant regulatory change.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive articles, guides, whitepapers, and blog posts on global trade topics including tariffs, customs compliance, international shipping, indirect taxes, product regulatory compliance, and global policy changes
- Produce country-specific guides for external and internal audiences
- Develop customer-facing guides on customs, tax, and product compliance topics, similar to this example
- Research and draft whitepapers on complex trade topics, collaborating with subject matter experts for accuracy
- Support webinar content development including research, talking points, and follow-up materials
- Assist with creation of visual content including infographics that simplify complex trade concepts
- Create timely content responding to breaking trade news, policy changes, and industry developments
- Produce lead magnets and gated content assets to support inbound marketing efforts; write compelling headlines, meta descriptions, and content structures optimized for both human readers and AI search systems
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in content marketing, technical writing, digital marketing, or related field
- Strong writing and editing skills with ability to research and synthesize complex information into accessible content
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and willingness to learn content optimization strategies
- Experience with WordPress and SquareSpace for website management and content updates
- Proficiency in content management systems, Google Analytics, and basic marketing tools
- Demonstrated ability to research and learn new topics quickly and accurately; interest in learning answer engine optimization (AEO) strategies and emerging search technologies
- Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple content projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, International Business, or related field
