A youth soccer academy in Mexico is seeking a part-time Foundation Phase Coach to deliver engaging football sessions for young players aged 4-11. This role involves planning and monitoring sessions while ensuring a fun, safe environment consistent with the academy's philosophy. Ideal candidates must hold a Level 2 coaching qualification and have experience working with children. Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are preferred. This position offers 20 hours a week, with a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
The club was born in part from a lack of player‑centric coaching philosophy and models within the city by two professional coaches who first worked together for an academy in Mexico City. A shared philosophy helped create a passion for OPA, while our focus remains on showcasing the player and the person and offering a clear and achievable path to success.
Focusing on the technical, tactical, physical, social, and emotional aspects of the game, OPA develops talented, multi‑skilled players who demonstrate exceptional sportsmanship, player integrity, and love for the game.
Our UEFA certified international coaches work hard to deliver a unique youth soccer program backed by renowned organisations and international associations, assisting us in developing pathways to college, semi‑professional, and professional soccer for our players, regardless of their age.
OPA is specifically focused on developing creative thinkers who compete at the highest level, based on a modern holistic approach to development and focusing on creating an effective environment where our players remain the priority.
Our players train in various positions until they are 15 years old, when they begin to become masters.
Engaging in attractive possession‑based football with a significant level of creativity, tactical knowledge and technical acumen.
Our goal is to use modern teaching and training development methods to provide our players with the most realistic chance to succeed professionally and to create a pathway to success.
We are equally developing a path through the development of a first team roster with the objective of playing at the top of the football pyramid.
We aspire to become the leading youth football club in Mexico, providing training to both male and female players in an age‑specific development environment and are completely focused on succeeding in nurturing people to become the best they can be.
We base our vision on a set of values that ensure a culture that runs throughout our academy, values such as respect, leadership, teamwork, technique, tactics and creativity.
