A leading global ISP is seeking a Field Engineer in Monterrey, Mexico, to manage fiber optics network activities. You will implement long-haul and metro network augmentations, ensuring successful customer connections and testing. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years in telecommunication networks and a degree in Telecommunications. This full-time role requires travel within Mexico and effective collaboration skills. A competitive salary package in the range of 600,000 - 785,000 MXN is offered.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunication networks.

• Field experience with installing and turning up DWDM and IP networks.

Compensation: Starting / Initial Base Salary Pay Range: 600,000 - 785.000 MXN

Specific offers within the listed pay ranges are determined by a variety of factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for fiber optics network field activity, Long haul and metro, Transport and Routers
• Implementation of long haul and metro network augmentation, coordination and installation
• Turn-up and test new customer connections and circuits
• Work with Network Planning and Service Delivery teams to provide Field perspective to network deployment as well as to provide expertise in deployments.
• Organize projects with contractors and internal staff
• Traveling within Mexico is required as well as full time availability

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of network architectures and telecom infrastructure including fiber networks.
• 5+ years’ experience on telecommunication networks
• Working knowledge on telecom infrastructure
• Field experience with install and turn-up DWDM and IP networks
• Experience in the use of optical test equipment: power meters, OTDRs, OSAs, and interpretation of test results
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• High-energy individual with interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate peers, and drive project to completion
• Engineer/Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or related field, or incomplete degree, equivalent experience, certifications, or training
