In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of buildings and their facilities to ensure the optimal supply of services such as electricity, compressed air, water, air conditioning, cleaning, building upkeep, and the execution of projects and new facilities, optimizing and avoiding unnecessary interruptions.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Supervise the staff under my charge in carrying out daily maintenance activities in the building, for their safely execution and optimization of resources.
Review, approve and make requisitions for materials and spare parts that will be vital for a specific job.
Follow all official Mexican standards applicable to the company regarding safety, construction, equipment, electricity, etc., that apply to the facilities area.
Conduct daily plant inspections (Gemba) to detect the status of working conditions, verifying, among other things, the following: physical condition of the building, cleanliness, pending work and/or progress of personnel under their supervision, machine room (compressors, air dryers, pumps, air conditioning, etc.), safety of the facilities.
Prepare and review the area's work schedule to align with all corporate policies on Safety, Hygiene, Environment and Building Maintenance.
Be responsible for the implementation, execution, and monitoring of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of all facility equipment at the plant.
Ensure compliance with FM Insurance Company requirements to reduce risks and losses that may occur in company facilities and equipment, and in turn, to maintain optimal costs in insurance premiums.
Supervise activities of contractors (special maintenance services, construction projects, plant expansions, etc.) that perform specific work authorized.
Minimum Requirements:
B.A. or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electromechanical or Industrial Engineering.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.
Interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal skills to facilitate effective communication, in English and Spanish.
Practical knowledge in managing permits, registrations, and licenses from municipal, state, and federal authorities (STPS, SPA, SEMARNAT, etc.).
Experience in personnel management and high response capacity in crisis situations.
Experience in budget management, preparation and control of maintenance budgets, resource optimization, and cost reduction.
Experience in the management, planning, and execution of facility improvement projects and in the coordination of contractors and suppliers.
