A leading digital media company in Mexico is seeking a Dubbing Script QC to oversee the correction of translated scripts for recording. The ideal candidate will have strong bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and a bachelor's degree in languages or a related field. Responsibilities include managing translation projects, ensuring accuracy, and providing detailed feedback. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.

Formación

  • Fluency in English and Spanish required, both written and verbal.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related position.
  • Knowledge of translation industry, audiovisual field is a plus.

Responsabilidades

Descripción del empleo

The Dubbing Script QC will be in charge of the correction of translated scripts and formatting of the scripts to send for recording.

DESCRIPTION
  • Check fluency, translation, terms and nuances of translated scripts.
  • Perform translation tasks if needed.
  • Manage projects of intermediate‑high complexity, or greater depending on the team’s needs.
  • Deliver according to the deadline set for each file/project.
  • Compile and send clear instructions and feedback to Head of QC according to each clients’ requests.
  • Access, download, organize and check material.
  • Resolve any technical issues or doubts that might arise during the project.
  • Receive and verify files according to the standards.
  • Register all the necessary information depending on the workflow in different shared tools within departments.
  • Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor.
  • Be able to lead and coordinate with both in‑house team and freelancers.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of the translation industry (Audiovisual field would be a plus).
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent related to languages, translations, audiovisual field or similar.
  • At least 2 years of experience on a related position.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Computer savvy. (Knowledge of any subtitling software is a plus)
  • Knowledge of the following languages would be an asset: Portuguese, Japanese or Korean.
