A leading engineering firm in Tamaulipas is seeking a Dimension Control Tech to provide solutions in the dimension control discipline. This role requires a senior high school education or a diploma in Technical Engineering or Civil Engineering, with 3-5 years of experience in surveying. Responsibilities include conducting surveys, preparing reports, and ensuring equipment calibration compliance.

• Senior high school graduate, preferred 2 years diploma in Technical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in surveying.
• Good knowledge of Surveying Instruments.
• Computer literate: AutoCAD and MS Office packages.

Responsabilidades

• Perform post-weld surveys as specified in the dimension control plan.
• Prepare dimensional control reports.
• Generate an out-of-tolerance report in cases of non-conformance.

Job Overview

The Dimension Control Tech provides solutions to problems in the Dimension Control discipline without supervisory approval and will evaluate and select solutions from established operating procedures and scientific procedures.

Essential Qualifications and Education

• Senior high school graduate, preferred 2 years diploma in Technical Engineering or Civil Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in surveying
• Good knowledge of Surveying Instruments
• Computer literate: AutoCAD and MS Office packages

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Perform the following surveys:
  • Post-weld surveys as specified in the dimension control plan and as required by the governing specifications
  • Pre-weld surveys as specified in the dimension control plan
  • Survey of miscellaneous assemblies as required
  • Continuous level surveys during load out and weighting
• Prepare dimensional control reports
• Generate an out-of-tolerance (OOT) report in cases of non-conformance and resurvey the structure after remedial action has taken place
• Monitor and update equipment calibration register
• Prepare Calibration Certificate
• Ensure that the latest drawings and calibrated equipment are used
• Use various types of survey-measuring equipment
• Understand and implementation of ITP, codes and specifications
• Operate Auto Cad and use calculation programs
