Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry‑leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical‑based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical‑based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

This role involves actively monitoring, engaging, and supporting the company’s digital presence and community interactions. The individual ensures prompt responses to inquiries, cultivates positive engagements with stakeholders, assists in content activation, and contributes to the creation of graphic and video content. By maintaining close communication with both online and offline audiences, this position plays a crucial role in enhancing the company’s reputation and brand positioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage social media platforms, forums, and other digital communities daily.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries, escalating complex or sensitive issues as needed.
  • Proactively engage with the audience to strengthen relationships and increase brand visibility.
  • Design and create graphics, images, and short‑form videos (stories, reels, posts) aligned with corporate guidelines.
  • Adapt visual and written content to different platforms and formats.
  • Support content scheduling and ensure correct publication in coordination with the Communications Specialist.
  • Track engagement metrics, audience sentiment, and prepare weekly reports for the team.
  • Detect potential reputational risks and elevate early warnings to senior team members.
  • Assist in the organization and execution of community‑focused events or initiatives.
  • Maintain internal documentation for community interactions, FAQs, and response templates.
Experiences/Education - Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in: community management, social media handling, digital content creation (internships or academic projects accepted).
  • Proficiency with major social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, TikTok.
  • Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar).
  • Basic video editing skills (CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar).
  • English: Advanced (C1/C2).
  • Exposure to engagement metrics and sentiment analysis.
  • Experience with content scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite).
  • Experience supporting community events or initiatives.
