Responsibilities
- Develop accurate complex designs, layouts, and stack-ups of individual parts or assemblies.
- Check detail drawings and layouts, which includes producing detail drafting and other drafting related tasks as required.
- Determine critical dimension and tolerance information by working with engineering personnel.
- Perform maintenance of CAD/CAM files. Continue training with advanced CAD/CAM methods and equipment and start and/or continues training with CAE methods and equipment.
- Provide a smooth interchange of ideas and information between supervisor, engineers, and co-workers. This requires maintaining daily personal contact with all facets of the function's operations and remaining aware of current progress.
- Develop and maintain customer and internal guide files, drafting standards, work instructions, and other tools intended to enhance the efficiency and abilities of his/her Design Group.
- Brainstorm new design concepts and assist in the creation and management of prototype BOM’s
- Work in Siemens Teamcenter to manage work orders, drawings, BOM structure, and 3D models
- Work with other Driveline Engineering team members on continuous improvement projects such as process enhancements, new design techniques and concept layouts.
- Willingness and ability to travel locally to manufacturing sites, with a primary focus on gaining hands-on knowledge of the assembly line and providing support for design and production-related concerns as needed.
- New Business Opportunity (NBO) pursuits by designing and developing complete mechanical systems, including integrated drive modules (iDMs) and fully assembled eMotors.
- Provide support for Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives within application projects to optimize cost, performance, and manufacturability.
What we are looking for
REQUIRED
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field (minimum requirement)
Industry Experience:
- Over 5 years of engineering experience in the automotive sector or a global manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with EV and ICE Powertrain systems, including powertrain, transmission, and electric drive module components is required.
- Background in powertrain systems, with demonstrated experience in design, development, or integration regarded as a valuable asset.
Demonstrated success in the design, development, and launch of advanced powertrain systems, with a strong track record of delivering high-performance solutions from concept to production
Technical Expertise:
- Advanced proficiency in 2D/3D CAD modeling and technical drawing using NX primarily and CATIA as preferred.
- Deep understanding of complex design layouts, stack-ups, and verbal design instructions
- Expert-level application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong analytical skills for component and subsystem design and evaluation
- Experience in creating and maintaining DFMEA documentation
Digital Proficiency:
- Teamcenter knowledge
- Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
PREFERRED
Manufacturing knowledge:
- Understanding of key manufacturing processes including forging, casting, machining, heat treatment, welding, balancing, surface treatments, and molding is preferred.

- High proficiency in English
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, with proven ability to work effectively in team environments. Requires professional verbal and written communication skills, along with the capability to manage complex technical details with precision.
