A leading manufacturing firm in Tijuana, Mexico is seeking a financial manager responsible for daily accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and leading budget preparation. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of financial principles, and proficiency in both Spanish and English. Responsabilidades

  • Responsible for daily accounting processes including invoices and banking.
  • Ensure accuracy in daily GL, Fixed Assets, and VAT.
  • Lead the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts.

  • Responsible for daily accounting processesincluding invoices, banking, booking & billing reporting, etc.
  • Ensure accuracy in daily GL, Fixed Assets, Cost,AR/AP, VAT, etc.
  • Ensure timely and accurate finance monthly,quarterly, and yearly reports.
  • Monthly: Send monthly closing reports toheadquarters.
  • Quarterly: Send quarterly closing, booking &billing, and Q1-Q3 reports to headquarters.
  • Yearly: Send yearly closing, booking &billing, Q4, and YEE reports to headquarters. Reconcile Intercompany AR/AP withinternal companies.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics,including production costs, labor expenses, material costs, and overheads.
  • Develop and maintainfinancial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis forplant, manufacturing projects and products.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of taxstatements.
  • Maintain monthly salary calculations and accruebonuses for payroll.
  • Lead the preparation of the annual budget andperiodic forecasts for the factory.
  • Monitor and manage capital expenditures toensure they remain within approved budgets.
  • Assist the GM in creating monthly and quarterlybusiness review documents. (BRM)
  • Manage external & internal of the Factory auditsto ensure timely/accurate completion.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction &efficiency improvements with production and operations teams.
  • Implement and maintain cost control processes toensure budget adherence and profitability targets.
  • Review departmental expenses monthly andidentify abnormalities.
  • Roll out internal control policies andprocedures for production accounting and controlling in alignment with the Corporate Finance department.
  • Manage petty cash (daily cash reimbursements andcheck cash in coffer before month-end closing).
  • Review all bank payments via e-banking andmanual documents.
  • Bachelor’s degree inFinance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's
  • degree or CPA/CMA qualification is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experiencein a financial management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding ofcost accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency infinancial software (e.g., IFS, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) and advanced Excelskills.
  • Familiarity withfinancial reporting tools. IFS and Tagetik is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent analytical,problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Leadership and peoplemanagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels ofthe organization.
  • Knowledge of relevantlaws and regulations of México, including local GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience with LeanManufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience managing ateam of finance professionals.
  • Fluent in Spanish andEnglish, both verbal and written. Other languages considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills with attention to details, result-oriented, curious,flexible, communicative and reliable.
  • Ability to underpressure and meet tight deadlinesPersonal andprofessional integrity of the highest order.
