A leading financial institution is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) in Mexico. This position oversees IT operations and drives organizational effectiveness including cost reduction initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess over twenty years of experience, be bilingual in English and Spanish, and have a strong background in leadership. The CIO will be responsible for ensuring compliance with standards and delivering excellent service across the bank's functions. This is a strategic role requiring a keen understanding of business development and decision-making capabilities.
Chief Information Officer (CIO) Mexico & LAM – This position has responsibility for all business and IT operations across HBMX and LAM through geographic oversight of the following global or HTS functions: Software Delivery, IT Operations, Service Delivery, Change Delivery, Global Banking and Markets HTS.
All these functions report either directly or to this position.
This role is responsible for the full cost base of the HSBC Group Mexico and for driving the Group's Organizational Effectiveness programme, including cost reduction initiatives across HBMX.
The CIO will enable the achievement of business objectives (ROP and MTO) by providing vital support to Global Businesses.
Operate across a highly matrixed organization, ensuring businesses and functions cooperate and collaborate effectively to deliver the Bank's broader objectives.
Ensure HTS delivers support that facilitates PBT growth while meeting Group and regulatory standards.
