The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for directing and overseeing all financial functions of the manufacturing operation in Mexico. This role ensures financial integrity, operational efficiency, and alignment with corporate objectives established by headquarters in South Korea.
The CFO will act as the primary financial liaison between the Mexico operation and Korean headquarters , requiring full professional fluency in Korean and Spanish, and will provide strategic financial guidance to support sustainable growth, cost competitiveness, and long-term profitability.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership to the manufacturing operation and executive management team
- Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, treasury, tax, and financial reporting
- Lead manufacturing cost accounting , including standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and productivity metrics
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results to local leadership and headquarters in South Korea
- Serve as the principal point of contact for financial communication with Korean headquarters
- Ensure full compliance with Mexican financial, tax, labor, and regulatory requirements , as well as corporate governance standards
- Drive financial discipline and internal controls across the organization
- Support strategic initiatives such as capital investments (CAPEX), expansion projects, pricing strategies, and cost-reduction programs
- Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and financial risk
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team
- Coordinate internal, external, and corporate audits
- Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and HR to improve overall plant performance
Profile & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline (MBA or Master’s degree strongly preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience , with substantial leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial operations
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or Senior Finance Leader within a plant or multinational environment
- Deep understanding of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, inventory control, and operational KPIs
- Full professional fluency in Korean (mandatory) to communicate with corporate headquarters
- Fluency in Spanish (mandatory) ; English proficiency highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory compliance
- Experience working with multinational organizations , preferably with Asian or Korean headquarters
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and financial analysis tools
