  • Recertification of expired products for external warehouses
  • Support and following with order requisitions
  • Identify the correct type of inventory (expired, slow movement…)
  • Support to contract manufacturing area making labels and work orders
  • Support the shipping and receiving for external warehousing area sharing COAs to quality lab, entries and keep updated the proof of deliveries
  • Support to create work instructions

Senior Supply Chain Manager

Position Summary

We are conducting a search for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead and transform the Supply Chain organization of a high-complexity Engineering-to-Order manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for strengthening end-to-end supply chain performance by overseeing four critical areas: Manufacturing Planning, Materials & Internal Logistics, Import–Export, and SAP Manufacturing Support.

The Senior Supply Chain Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and will be responsible for driving operational excellence, improving planning accuracy, optimizing material flows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling data-driven decision making across the plant.

This position requires a strategic, hands-on leader with strong influence, the ability to work in a fast-paced ETO environment, and proven experience aligning supply chain processes with engineering, operations, and program management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manufacturing Planning Leadership

  • Lead the Planning organization (Master Scheduling, Capacity Planning, Production Planning).
  • Translate engineering requirements and customer configurations into executable manufacturing plans.
  • Ensure accurate load/capacity models, build sequences, material alignment, and project commitments.
  • Drive demand planning and forecasting with at least 8 years of experience in Planning (demand, supply, or production).
  • Improve schedule adherence and reduce last-minute changes.

2. Materials & Internal Logistics

  • Oversee all internal material flows from receiving to shipping: inbound, warehouses, WIP, kitting, internal routes, inventory control, and outbound logistics.
  • Strengthen warehouse discipline, layout efficiency, material accuracy, and kitting operations for ETO products.
  • Lead Managers and Supervisors to ensure execution excellence and inventory accuracy >98%.

3. Import–Export & Compliance

  • Lead Import–Export operations, including classification, compliance, IMMEX, T-MEC regulations, and coordination with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  • Ensure flawless execution and readiness for internal and external audits.

4. SAP & Manufacturing Data Support

  • Oversee SAP master data, BOM accuracy, routings, manufacturing parameters, and production order integrity.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Engineering, SAP, Planning, and Operations.
  • Drive digitalization, data quality, and system discipline across the organization.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Manage a multi-layer team including Sr Managers, Managers, Supervisors, Planners, and Specialists.
  • Build capability, provide coaching, and elevate the technical level of the supply chain organization.
  • Implement KPIs, dashboards, and standard processes for visibility and control.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Quality, and Finance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or Manufacturing Planning (required).
  • Strong experience leading supply chain teams in a manufacturing environment (ETO or high-mix, low-volume preferred).
  • Bilingual English–Spanish (advanced communication required).
  • Strong knowledge of SAP (PP, MM, WM; PS is a plus).
  • Experience with Lean principles and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to navigate high complexity, multiple priorities, and engineering-driven environments.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Engineering-to-Order or Make-to-Order environments.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Experience managing multi-department supply chain structures.
  • Strong understanding of master data governance.
  • Demonstrated success improving Planning accuracy and material flow efficiency.

Position Overview

Reports to the Supply Planning Lead, and is responsible for the initiation, management, and coordination of supply requirements, materials, inventory plans, and capacity for Hunter Douglas. This position provides planning input for business issues involving capacity, materials, and customer service. The position also provides support via problem-solving and project initiation for several planning constraints as they are identified and prioritized.

What you\'ll do

  • Develop and coordinate on production plans to support the business plans of the HD manufacturing location while minimizing inventories, operating expenses, and ensuring optimal customer service performance.
  • Collaborate with Supply/Production Planners on the inventory management requirements for materials. This incorporates setting the inventory targets and safety stock levels; managing inventory mix to achieve working capital and customer service objectives; leading obsolete and slow-moving management process; fully participating in the activities required to drive longer term inventory reductions and optimization.
  • Support the S&OE process through timely and accurate production plans and material needs.
  • Collaborate with Supply/Production Planners and support the development of the monthly Supply Reviews.
  • Recommend capacity changes, location, and timing when appropriate and advise production, inventory, and distribution consequences of alternative sales plans. Recommend actions when production, materials, and customer service imbalances exist.
  • Provide a logistics perspective on business issues that are not necessarily identified in the principal accountabilities.
  • Contribute as a planning team member in various situations, projects and activities not included in other principal accountabilities and to assist in the accomplishment of established objectives.
  • Maintain effective communications with team leaders and other key stakeholders in a manner that is timely, complete, concise, and responsive.
  • All other duties as assigned

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of Logistics, Operations/Manufacturing, or relevant supply chain experience is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the End to End Supply Chain flow and interdependencies across functions is required.
  • An entrepreneurial self-starter with strong analytical skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to partner and communicate across functional levels is required.
  • Ability to manage projects and embrace change.
  • MS Office proficiency, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • SAP/IBP knowledge is required.
  • APICS certification a plus; not required.
  • Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training and/or certification.
