A growing real estate and construction company in Mexico City is seeking a Remote Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of bookkeeping experience, strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, generating financial reports, and ensuring accurate project tracking. This role is perfect for detail-oriented individuals with strong communication skills.

Formación

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Strong experience with QuickBooks Online is required.

As a growing real estate and construction-focused company, we are looking for a Remote Bookkeeper to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and highly experienced with QuickBooks Online, with a strong background in project-based accounting.

Job Overview

The Remote Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate project tracking, and deliver timely financial reports. This role requires precision, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. You will support the Director of Finance directly and play a key role in monitoring the financial health of multiple construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks Online
  • Categorize and record all transactions with accuracy
  • Perform daily / weekly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Generate and analyze financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Track project budgets, costs, and job costing for multiple construction projects
  • Ensure all transactions are classified properly to the correct project / entity
  • Prepare collections reports and assist with client billing
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
  • Meet monthly deadlines for reconciliations and reporting
Requirements : Qualifications
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (A / P, A / R, reconciliations, journal entries)
  • Familiarity with project-based accounting and job costing (preferred)
  • Experience in construction, real estate, or project-driven businesses (a plus)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (required)
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote settingli>
  • Strong communication skills (English required; fluency doesn’t need to be perfect)
