A multinational energy company in Xico, Veracruz is seeking an experienced accountant to ensure compliance with accounting regulations and improve governance procedures. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of operational accounting experience and strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP. This role requires collaboration with partners and auditors, focusing on training and process improvement while working in a dynamic environment that fosters personal growth.

• 7+ years of experience in operational accounting.
• Strong knowledge in IFRS and local GAAP accounting.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure personnel are trained on accounting policies and processes.
• Act as a trusted advisor for accounting topics.
• Ensure effective internal controls are in place.
• Cooperate with internal partners and auditors during closing processes.
• Drive improvements in governance procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Education as professional accountant.
• 7 plus years of experience in operational accounting.
• Knowledge of projects implementation desirable.
• Work experience of SAP advantageous for this role.

• Ensures that personnel in business is trained on updates and new accounting policies and that processes and practices are adjusted as required.
• Acts as a trusted advisor to the GP Operating Company for all accounting topics.
• Ensures that internal controls are in place and work effectively.
• Cooperates with internal partners and external auditors during the regular closing process.
• Drives, manages and assesses improvements in governance procedures for General Ledger and all sub-ledgers for GP Operating Company.
• Ensures compliance with local accounting, tax, statutory and other applicable regulations in Finance / Accounting.
• Assists in assessing and implementing system changes as required due to global or local changes in regulations or process improvements.
• Supports the GP Operating Company with Accounting Memos and alignment with internal partners and external auditors.
