Under general supervision, supports the underwriters in the review and processing of new and renewal accounts.

Undertakes routine procedures on assignments of low/moderate complexity and general support to underwriters.

• May, within designated authority and following established procedures, perform routine evaluation, and pricing of low complexity risks.
• Assists underwriters by communicating with brokers and other departments e.g. Billings and Collections, Actuarial etc.
• Requests underwriting information from brokers.
• Follow up activity with brokers/UWs/CSC.
• Issues and assembles quotes and policies upon receipt of underwriter approval.
• Processes new and renewal business including some data entry into system, population of relevant systems, file make-up and policy issuance.
• Upon request from underwriters, processes mid-term adjustments.
• May provide assistance and/or training to other Underwriting Assistants.
• Review of data quality in core policy administration systems.
• Maintain standards and operational risk controls.
• May assist in special project work.
• Comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and ensure, at a level appropriate to the position, that appropriate measures are in place to ensure this compliance.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
