In Taranto, Vestas Blades Italia S.R.L. operates one of the most modern blade factories in the world, producing blades for both onshore and offshore wind turbines. Our customers range from local enterprises and project developers to large international power producers and grid operators. To strengthen our capabilities in Quality and Process Engineering, we are looking for a motivated student to join our Quality team at the Vestas Blades Italia production plant in Taranto. The Quality and Process Engineering department is responsible for the entire quality and process of the production lines, and plays a key role in continuous improvement initiatives, particularly in reducing reworks and scrap costs. As an intern, you will work closely with our engineers, operations team, and various stakeholders across the factory. The department embraces an open and informal culture, where teamwork and communication are essential. This position offers you the chance to experience first-hand how your future career as an engineer could look like after graduation.

Responsibilities

• As part of the Quality team, you will support both development-oriented and routine tasks, becoming an active contributor to daily operations. Your tasks may include:
• Supporting quality and process monitoring activities across production lines
• Contributing to the optimization of technical processes, focusing on efficiency, safety, and cost of poor quality
• Assisting in problem-solving initiatives and root cause analysis
• Participating in planning and management tasks, with an emphasis on process improvement and compliance
• Collaborating with different departments across the Vestas value chain on ad hoc projects

You will also have the opportunity to learn about:

• Blades manufacturing processes and products
• ISO 9001 quality management systems
• Structured problem-solving methodologies
• Cross-functional collaboration in a global industrial environment

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, or Electronic preferred). A Master’s Degree will also be valued.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and analytical skills
• Good command of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Good English skills (written and oral)

• Enthusiasm to explore new technical areas and responsibilities
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility
• Ability to work efficiently, set priorities, and remain structured under pressure
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to contribute in a multifunctional environment
