Job Description

We are looking for our General Manager for our JO&JOE in Rome, in the heart of the city, halfway between the train station and the Trevi Fountain.

Mission 1: To build a sustainable and innovative business

  1. Promote JO&JOE brand offers and cross-sell opportunities.
  2. Implement local marketing strategies and dynamic pricing to boost growth.
  3. Ensure compliance with JO&JOE processes by third-party partners.

Mission 2: Lead and develop the team

  1. Lead, motivate, and manage the team for high performance and attendance.
  2. Identify training needs and oversee team development.
  3. Handle recruitment, performance, and staff-related matters effectively.
  4. Take responsibility for your own development by completing in-house trainings and communicating learning needs with your DOP.

Mission 3: Achieve targets and increase profits

  1. Optimise P&L performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  2. Drive sales across services while ensuring a great customer experience, including quality of food and drink service and availability.
  3. Oversee reservations and cancellation policies to maximise occupancy.

Mission 4: Maintain controls and meet standards

  1. Manage unit operations, finance and stock control.
  2. Ensure safety, audits, and compliance with company policies.
  3. Forecast sales and wages while planning effective staff rotas (daily/weekly/monthly).

Mission 5: Deliver an exceptional customer experience

  1. Deliver exceptional customer service and experience.
  2. Continuously improve product offerings for maximum satisfaction.

Mission 6: F&B Management

  1. Maintain and develop our F&B offering as unmissable.
  2. Follow and manage the performance and F&B budget with your F&B Manager.
  3. Nurture the request of private events inside the JO&JOE.

Mission 7: Analyse and make decisions

  1. Be autonomous, make informed decisions and escalate issues when necessary.
  2. Resolve problems efficiently while adhering to guidelines.

Mission 8: Manage performance

  1. Monitor and improve team performance.
  2. Ensure objectives are met and plan actions to achieve targets.
  3. Make work fun.

Mission 9: Develop your potential and others

  1. Invest in personal development and encourage team growth.
  2. Provide coaching, feedback, and motivation to team members.

You Must

  1. Have all the necessary documents to be legally employable in [COUNTRY].

  3. Have previous management experience (including administration, financial and HR topics) in hospitality environment.
  4. Provide references attesting to your leadership qualities and past performance.
