About This Opportunity

Your work environment: We now have an opportunity for a strong, highly motivated individual to join us as a Supply Chain Manager for our plant based in Parma (Italy) which produces beverage aluminium cans, operating 7/7, 24h/24h on a continuous shift system. The role reports directly to the Plant Manager and functionally to the Supply Chain Director Bevcan EMEA.

Your Mission In Crown

Within the Principal’s policies and instructions, as a member of the plant management team, the successful candidate effectively leads the plant Logistics Team and manages the department with overall responsibility for raw materials procurement and planning, order follow-up, materials handling and production planning for the beverage lines. You are responsible for effective management of transport, warehouse and secondary packaging for finished goods or good for resale dispatching for Spain. Through engagement of the workforce, you ensure a good running of the department in order to meet the customer’s needs in the most effective and optimal way.

About You

The successful candidate has preferably an Industrial Engineering background, with at least 7 years’ experience in a Supply Chain role in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the packaging or FMCG sectors, a working experience in using ERP systems (i.e. SAP), have demonstrated experience of structuring and leading teams in Planning & Logistics. You should have a sound knowledge of logistics activities connected with production and materials planning, combined with continuous improvement tools and problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and team working skills are essential as well as the ability to drive change through others. You should be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Besides Italian, you are fluent in English.
