Stock & Purchaising Performance Coordinator
Position
JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Industrial Controlling Director (Finance), this role drives the optimization and control of Stock and Purchasing performance. The incumbent will be responsible for proactively analyzing and managing stock to maximize efficiency, minimize obsolescence, and optimize rotation through defined KPI monitoring.
This position also involves critical analysis of raw material and semi‑finished product purchasing costs, identifying reduction opportunities and supply chain efficiency improvements.
They will monitor supplier performance and coordinate Purchasing to ensure data accuracy and maximize competitiveness. Providing in‑depth analysis and decision support for budgeting and financial targets, the role consistently focuses on cost visibility and enhancing company profitability through operational excellence in stock and purchasing.
Job responsibilities
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES
KEY TASKS
- Support Raw Materials Costing, Valuation, and Performance Analysis : Assist in the valuation of raw material warehouses and perform algorithmic devaluation analysis.
- Collaborate with Procurement to analyze purchase price variances and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Support the Industrial Closing Process and Financial Variance Analysis : Assist in the monthly closing process and conduct analysis of financial variances against standards and budget.
- Support Budget Construction : Assist in defining budget assumptions and calculating standard consumption.
- Assist in monitoring and enhancing monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to material costs, usage variances, and inventory valuation.
- Ensure the integrity of material cost data within ERP and financial systems.
- Stock Performance Analysis : Continuously monitor inventory levels, turnover, and obsolescence to identify inefficiencies.
- Act as a Business Partner : Provide support in financial reporting and insights into purchasing, logistics, plant costing, CFO / CDG, and General Manager.
- Support Special Projects : Assist in specific projects, such as analyzing overconsumption.
- Purchasing Cost Analysis : Examine raw material and semi‑finished product costs to identify savings opportunities
- Reporting & Recommendations : Prepare detailed reports and propose corrective and improvement actions.
- Monitor supplier performance cost and support corrective actions.
CROSS FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITY
- Process Management : Act as Process Owner for Stock and Purchasing management processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Assist in deploying analytical resources to support cost control objectives related to materials.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and accounting standards regarding material valuation.
- Provide support to Production, Procurement, and Finance by delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis on material costs.
- Participate in the continuous improvement process of material cost management and performance.
- Ensure accurate and timely handling of material cost data, financial reports, and variance analyses.
STRATEGY
- Support the execution of the industrial controlling strategy concerning material costs, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Contribute to the Continuous Improvement of material cost analysis processes and reporting tools.
- Process Improvement Identification : Research and implement best practices for process efficiency.
NETWORK OF INTERACTION
INTERNAL: Production, Vendor Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance (Cost Accounting, General Accounting), R&D, Quality Control, Operation.
EXTERNAL: External Auditors, Consulting Firms (specific to cost control / material management), HQ.
Profile
TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering Management, or a related financial field.
- 7 years of hands‑on experience or significant internships in industrial controlling, cost accounting, or financial analysis.
- Good understanding of cost accounting principles (standard costing, variance analysis), inventory valuation methods, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP CO / MM, Oracle) and advanced planning / reporting systems.
- Proficiency in problem‑solving techniques.
- Good time management skills.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Capacity for analytical thinking and critical evaluation.
- Familiarity with business intelligence software for data analysis and visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables).
- Drives Engagement with cross‑functional teams.
- English Good knowledge: French is a plus.
