Sr Project Account Manager Retail
As a Senior Project Manager Retail, you will strategically manage accounts with high impact and/or complexity. You will build relationships with clients whilst providing them with technical expertise. As first point of contact for our clients, the role will provide you the opportunity to use your technical, account management and innovation skills to support our clients’ needs – driving safety standards and minimizing exposure to relevant risks while working in partnership to move safety cultures forward.
Responsibilities
- Strategically manage accounts with high impact and/or complexity to ensure retention.
- Identify and procure new business or cross selling opportunities with clients.
- Establish and build strong working relationships with client key decision makers while providing technical expertise.
- Manage day‑to‑day client communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming projects.
- Provide trend analysis to identify areas of improvement.
- Manage client input and feedback for all projects with detailed direction and timelines.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the clients’ position in the market, their product/service, points of difference and competitive landscape.
- Proactively remain connected to clients and the ever‑changing market to access new opportunities and ensure all viable clients are engaged on a regular and effective basis.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a high level of service delivery which meets KPI’s.
- Manage and coach internal stakeholders.
- Serve as technical expert for audit requirements, food safety, health and safety and brand standards.
- Assist with administrative responsibility when needed.
- As necessary, visit clients, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship‑building opportunities.
- Other duties that are reasonably within the scope of the role and function.
- Cultivate a strong safety culture – follow HSSE policies and report hazards – use appropriate PPE.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical or Science or equivalent experience.
- Demonstratable depth of experience in customer service delivery, program management, operations.
- Relevant experience in Food Safety, Hospitality, Retail, in TIC sector would be a huge asset.
- Experience managing large $1m client accounts.
- Experience and knowledge of the TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification).
- Fluent in English, Italian, French.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship & communication skills.
- Ability to work independently keeping deliverables and deadlines top of mind.
- Creative thinking and problem‑solving aptitude.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to follow client and regulatory required safety practices.
- Ability to travel across Italy and EU region if needed.
- Position based in Italy.
