Senior Sales Manager (Air & Ocean Freight)

Our client is an independent international freight forwarder growing in Italy, with strong ties to a global leader in the logistics industry, being part of a larger, well-established group. They maintain their autonomy while leveraging the resources, support, and scale of their parent company to drive growth and success. This client seeks a Senior Sales Manager for their expanding Air and Ocean Freight operations. This role offers an exciting growth phase opportunity for a hands-on senior commercial manager capable of working autonomously and developing new verticals. It is ideal for an ambitious individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and seeks a key role in expanding a thriving logistics business.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales Approach : Drive the development and growth of multiple products and freight sales strategies, ensuring consistent business expansion in new and existing markets.
  • Business Development : Establish and grow new verticals, contributing to the company's expansion in Italy.
  • Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including those in specialized sectors such as food and beverage, project cargo, luxury goods, etc.
  • Team Leadership : Support and lead a small but growing team, fostering a collaborative and high-energy sales culture.
  • Market Expansion : Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Italy, with flexibility regarding regions of focus.
  • Collaboration with a global leader : Leverage your knowledge and support from a global leader to drive new business and support the company's position in Italy and internationally.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : Strong background in ocean freight; experience in air freight is a plus; experience in road transport is beneficial.
