Retail Store Project Manager – Italian & French – Italy (Gold & Precious Metals Retail)

About the Company

Our client is a well-established French market leader in the purchase and sale of gold and other precious metals, with over 90 retail locations across France and the United States and a turnover exceeding €100 million.

As part of an ambitious international expansion strategy, the company is now entering the Italian market — and is seeking a hands-on Store Manager to lead the opening of its first store in the country.

Your Role : Open & Build the First Italian Store

As the Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering the first retail location in Italy — from identifying the right property to coordinating contractors and overseeing the entire renovation and fit-out process.

Working closely with the French headquarters and reporting to the European Expansion Director, you’ll ensure the store launch is executed on time, on budget, and in line with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Location Scouting : Research, evaluate, and recommend retail spaces for lease or purchase in key Italian markets.
• Fit-Out & Renovation Oversight : Manage renovation works including layout planning, electrical, plumbing, IT setup, signage, and security installations.
• Contractor Management : Coordinate local suppliers, contractors, and service providers from planning through completion.
• Store Launch Operations : Ensure the store is operationally ready for launch — from logistics and furnishings to security systems and compliance.
• Post-Opening Support : Assist with the initial launch period, operational handover, and performance monitoring.
• Future Expansion : Support the rollout of additional store locations across Italy after the first successful launch.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Solid experience in retail management , store openings , or commercial renovations .
• Strong understanding of retail operations and physical location buildouts.
• Native Italian speaker with fluent French and English (required).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Italy.
• Independent, hands-on, and highly organized with an eye for detail.
• Comfortable managing budgets, construction timelines, and cross-border communication.
