PES ENGINEERING grew out of the Engineering Division of PES, founded in 1979, and currently has over 200 resources on its permanent engineering staff, who have significant experience in the Oil & Gas, Power, Renewable Energy, Chemical, Petrochemical, and Automotive industries.
Our company engages in engineering and technical services (civil, rotating machinery, static equipment, process, HSE design, electro-instrumental, layout and piping), providing over 200,000 engineering hours per year to all major Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, industrial manufacturers, etc.
Currently, PES ENGINEERING has 8 offices in Italy: the headquarters in Rosignano Solvay (LI), Livorno, San Donato Milanese, Florence, Rome, Bari, Vibo Marina (VV), Gela.
Abroad, PES ENGINEERING is present in 3 countries (UK, Romania AUE). In addition, a series of strategic partnerships, signed on virtually every continent, support the company in carrying out multidisciplinary engineering, service management, inspection and expediting, recruitment and hiring of local staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop project document list together with the Project Manager at project start‑up.
- Ensure proper coordination among the various engineering disciplines involved (both internal and outsourced), preventing inconsistencies between documents.
- Participate in and lead technical meetings with the Customer, involving the necessary project specialists.
- Guarantee proper knowledge and application of the project requirements among the engineering team.
- Develop detailed engineering project plans, including milestones, timelines, resource allocation and budgeting, in accordance with the general project schedule.
- Ensure engineering activities (preparation, submission, revision of engineering deliverables and tasks) are carried out according to schedule.
- Monitor and report on the progress and possible deviations of the project.
- Draw up and monitor project budgets (internal manhours and outsourced engineering services).
- Ensure efficient use of engineering competencies and capacities, periodically re‑checking suitability of project‑assigned resources and escalating to Discipline Leaders and Head of Engineering as needed.
- Support Project Manager in managing contract changes toward the Customer, highlighting any potential change opportunity and taking care of the engineering impacts estimation.
- Analyze and solve technical and organizational problems that arise during project implementation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality standards and procedures within engineering projects.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to manage or mitigate them.
- Conduct audits and quality checks to ensure projects meet the required specifications.
- Encourage a positive work culture, promote collaboration, communication and a problem‑solving approach within the team.
- Experience in the field of water and wastewater process technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical and/or Project Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in an engineering environment.
- Proven track record in a technical position.
- Courses: Team management.
- Skills: Experience with budget management and cost control; Knowledge of current engineering techniques within the realization of a project; Relevant experience in management; Knowledge of relevant laws, standards and regulations.
- Language: English, professional level in word and writing.
- Software: Microsoft Office; ERP system; Engineering design & review software; Working actively in a common data environment.
- Competences: Organize and plan; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; Decisive; Proactive; Result‑oriented.
- Experience in the field of water, wastewater process technologies.
