Role Overview

As Manager, Commercial for Italy, you will lead a team of Commercial Managers within PlayStation’s Global Channel Sales & Operations (CSO) organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Sales for the territory, you will work closely with the Commercial Managers, Commercial Planning, and Business Analysts Teams to implement and execute the commercial strategy across physical and digital retail channels, driving revenue growth and profitability.

This role is hybrid and based out of our office in Rome 3 days a week.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role requires a deep understanding of consumer behaviour, the Italian retail landscape and entertainment industry trends. You will also manage commercial relationships with key accounts and top retail partners to ensure strong execution and achievement of business objectives.

  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales, Commercial Planning and Business Analysts Teams to develop and implement the Italian commercial strategy, in conjunction with Global commercial strategy
  • Manage the Commercial Managers team to deliver revenue objectives and hit targets across PlayStation’s physical product portfolio (consoles, peripherals, software and vouchers).
  • Optimise, develop and nurture relationships with key accounts and retail partners, delivering a collaborative approach to joint business planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales and Commercial Planning team on commercial terms, promotional planning and online/in-store product visibility.
People Management (Best Place to Work)
  • Manage, develop and inspire a team of high-performing Commercial Managers to deliver sales forecasts.
  • Lead empathetically, fostering a culture of accountability, creativity and customer‑centricity.
Insights & Forecasting
  • Liaise with the Business Insights Analyst to bring to life sales data, market trends and competitor activity.
  • Support forecasting using knowledge of retailer plans
Cross‑Functional Alignment
  • Collaborate with other managers across Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Global Teams to ensure optimum business delivery.
  • Champion a “We Are One” culture within the Italian territory.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and growth initiatives across the Italian retail landscape and PlayStation product portfolio to drive revenue and operating profit.
  • Encourage team innovation to improve team efficiency and output.
What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is analytical, meticulous, and adaptable, someone who can learn quickly and thrive in a dynamic environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years (or equivalent) proven experience in commercial management roles within the gaming, entertainment, consumer electronics, tech or FMCG industries.
  • Deep commercial knowledge and an Italian retail landscape expert, with experience negotiating at a senior level.
  • Solution focused with a proactive attitude.
  • Strong ability to develop influential and collaborative relationships.
  • Fluency in English is essential and experience of working in a multinational organisation is an advantage.
