Overview

We are looking for a service-oriented Head Hostess to join our pre-opening team. Conveniently located adjacent to Rome Termini Station and a short distance from the Colosseum, the 238-room Hyatt Regency Rome Central is a contemporary 5-star hotel offering premium business services and one of Italy’s most dazzling leisure rooftop experiences. The hotel features a SPA, 5 food & beverages outlets and more than 1000 sqm events venues.

Key responsibilities
  • Responsible for greeting, seating, cloakroom and farewell at our Restaurants & Bars
  • Managing online Reservation system
  • Handling enquiry and reservations, by email and phone calls
  • Observe and maintain the daily condition of all physical facilities and equipment in the public areas and make recommendations for corrections and improvement as needed
  • Responsible to daily take-out orders
  • Staying one step ahead of our guests’ needs to anticipate requests and offer tailored recommendations
  • Understand all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation, food allergies and intolerance
  • Usage of the POS system (Simphony)
Skills and requirements
  • Experience of 2 years or more in similar role in a high-end environment
  • Friendly and positive with a flexible approach and confidence
  • Good communication skills and genuine approach with our guests
  • Good problem-solving skills that will turn issues into opportunities
