About the Role

Your Impact in This Role

The Commercial Director will work alongside the Operations Director and share the P&L for the Stjernøy cluster in Norway. The cluster produces high‑purity nepheline syenite, which is sold worldwide (90% exported) through Sibelco’s network of offices. In this role you will:

  • Define pricing strategy and mechanisms in collaboration with Operations, deliver the commercial part of the P&L, and grow sales in existing and new applications, markets and geographies.
  • Lead the sales strategy (target customers, applications and pricing) and manage overall sales and marketing activities for the cluster.
  • Develop new business by understanding customer needs and applications, adopting a “hunting” approach while supporting the global sales team with technical expertise.
  • Steer the development of an effective commercial strategy using data‑driven territory plans, opportunity pipeline management, and continuous improvement of customer services.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in complex key‑account deal negotiations and driving sales and marketing through large sales teams.
  • Knowledge of key market segments (glass, ceramics, building materials, coatings, polymers) is an advantage.
  • Excellent English skills; additional languages are a plus.
