What you’ll be doing day to day:
- Take responsibility for your department goals in every channel and secure that your action plan ensures the country priorities.
- Follow up and act accordingly by using proven solutions and good examples.
- Ensure the shop is in excellent shape as new and always fully and efficiently stocked and that the IKEA product range is presented in a way that inspires and satisfies customers in every touch point.
- Apply actively sales steering to department’s top‑selling products, prioritized products and IKEA service products in every, with the correct forecasting and phase‑in/phase‑out, to maximise sales and long‑term profitability.
- Be brave on commercial opportunities or threats to face a fast‑changing business environment by monitoring the main KPIs, evaluating relevant input from your local market, investigating local customer needs and their feedback in all the channels, and analysing stock availability.
- Be an active speaking partner with your Store Commercial Team and your matrix in SO to have an effective collaboration between the store and the SO, by keeping an active eye on the competition and sharing best practices and proven solutions.
- Proactively work with P&C department to have the right number of competent colleagues in the right place at the right time securing that they are fully able and available to guarantee the best customer experience to our visitors, to plan and offer a professional service with a core area approach in mind.
- Ensure your team has the right growth mindset and sales attitude, the correct knowledge about the product range in your department, and the IKEA services so that they can share this with IKEA customers to exceed their overall expectations on the shopping experience.
- Recruit, onboard & develop your team, its individual members, and their talent to have engaged colleague and ensure a succession planning.
- Be an active player in working on sustainability initiatives with the team through ensuring sustainability priorities are reflected across store offering.
What you’ll need to have:
- Ability to explore the potential business opportunities within the local market.
- Ability to understand customers’ needs and habits in order to promote an omnichannel approach.
- Ability to make things happen, priorities and make decisions by championing flexibility, speed, and simplicity.
- Knowledge of Sales techniques, local market and services, Sales Steering, Sales channels, Cycles, Data Analytics and Sales KPIs, P&L.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders even in official events or meetings.
- A considered decision‑maker thanks to strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships.
- Ability to organise and prioritise different tasks and processes even inside an unknown environment.
- Ability to follow up and measure performance of output and capture learnings to improve planning and performance moving forward.
- Good knowledge in Italian and English.
