The startup is currently in stealth mode, and it is a project designed to support (not replace by GenAI) music creators by giving them the right tools to inspire their next creations, while also empowering musicians to monetize their knowledge. For the project to succeed, its core will focus on building and maintaining a VST3/AUv3/LV2/AAX plugin.

The Role:

We are looking for a CTO / Co-Founder who wants to build the project from day 0. You will own the technical vision, architecture, and execution, and grow with the project.

This role is ideal for someone who:

• Is technically skilled and wants to grow as a leader
• Can justify choices wearing both technical and non-technical hats
• Enjoys the early-stage chaos of a startup and to transform it into structured, scalable systems
• Wants real ownership and long‑term impact, not a 9–5 job
• Does the job with confidence and openness.

What you’ll do:

• Help reasoning about UX and application flows
• Define and own the technical vision and architecture
• Code the plugin and some web components
• Make key decisions around scalability, security, and cloud cost efficiency
• Shape the product roadmap with the founder
• Establish DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and deployment standards
• Ensure security, GDPR compliance, and best practices
• Identify and resolve technical challenges and issues as they arise during development and deployment.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, architecture, and deployment processes.

What we’re looking for:

Qualifications:

• At least 1 VST3/AUv3/LV2/AAX plugin published on the market
• Strong expertise in software engineering and system architecture
• Strong expertise in coding patterns (OOP, MVC, DRY, …)
• Knowledge of PM Agile SCRUM fundamental concepts
• Ability to translate ideas into working full‑stack solutions
• Proficiency in C++
• Experience on Juce framework
• Experience or willing to learn GPU.audio SDK
• Experience or willing to learn Python (for ML purposes inside the plugin)
• Understanding of or willing to learn modern web stacks: Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), React & SSR (ViteJs/NextJs), TailwindCSS
• Practical DevOps expertise (Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes or Github Actions)
• Deep knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Vercel)
• Strong security awareness (OWASP, GDPR, SOC2, modern authentication systems)
• Great eye for UX/UI and User‑Centered Design
• Startup mindset: ownership, pragmatism, resilience

Education & Experience:

• BSc/MSc/PhD degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or equivalent with hands‑on experience in building and scaling software systems.

Languages:

• English (conversational and professional)
• Italian knowledge is preferred
• Experience with ML, AI and GenAI applied to audio enhancements
• Experience with a classical music instrument and/or with recording classical instruments
• Prior founder or early‑stage startup experience
