As a Commis Chef at Zuma, you are passionate about delivering exceptional culinary experiences, and you’ll play a key role in crafting dishes that leave a lasting impression. Zuma is a contemporary Japanese restaurant collection, inspired by the dynamic Izakaya dining style. This role will be based in Zuma Rome. Located in the iconic Palazzo Fendi, with a stunning restaurant and beautiful roof terrace overlooking the “eternal city”, this restaurant is an essential experience in Rome. Zuma Rome is proud to be part of the Azumi Collection.

Main Duties
  • Ensure mise en place levels are maintained to guarantee smooth service, with a focus on quality, consistency, and impeccable presentation
  • Embrace opportunities to learn and grow, gaining experience across various kitchen sections under the guidance of senior chefs
  • Inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy, ensuring proper storage practices and minimizing waste
  • Prepare food products according to recipes, ensuring precision, care, and adherence to the highest preparation standards
  • Conduct daily hygiene checks in storage areas and maintain clean, organized workstations in line with Zuma’s high standards
  • Follow Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment at all times
