A leading global IT services firm is looking for a Cloud Data Architect to support Big Data projects by managing data acquisition and transformation processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud-native environments, especially with Azure, and a background in both Data Science and Data Engineering. Your role as a Cloud Data Architect in NTT Data Gov & Tech will involve supporting customers in Big Data projects, collaborating with business analysts and solution architects to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives. You will be responsible for data acquisition, transformation, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading into data lakes for analytics and machine learning models.

The Cloud Data Architect should be familiar with the challenges of a cloud-native environment, capable of thinking creatively to find innovative yet simple solutions, and sharing these solutions with the team.

Ideal candidates will bridge Data Science and Data Engineering, understanding both fields. Whether you are a Data Scientist seeking experience in data preparation or a Data Engineer interested in Data Science, you can join NTT Data Gov & Tech Business Intelligence Service Line, working within a culturally diverse environment that blends Japanese and European elements.

Required Skills

• Experience in a cloud-native environment with at least one of the major public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure); 2 years of experience with Azure is preferred.
• Knowledge of Big Data Architectures, both cloud and on-premise.
• Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and networking.
• Proven ability to build and deliver proofs-of-concept addressing specific business needs using appropriate techniques, data sources, and technologies.
• Experience migrating workloads from on-premise to cloud environments.
• Experience monitoring distributed infrastructure using Azure tools or open-source solutions like Grafana or Prometheus.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and Kanban.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other Azure ETL/ELT tools.
• Azure Cloud certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent in other cloud providers like AWS, Oracle, GCP.

Desired Skills and Certifications

• Additional Big Data certifications (e.g., Cloudera, Databricks).
• Experience with non-Azure ETL/ELT solutions such as Talend, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica PowerCenter.
• Experience with Data Visualization tools like PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau.
