Business Development Manager Healthcare Warehousing & Distribution Italy

This role is in the UPS Healthcare division, which operates in the logistics and distribution market supporting pharmaceutical, med tech and diagnostics companies.

Office: Somaglia (LO), Italy

Are you ready to positively impact the organization by leading the sales initiative for top priority UPS Healthcare product?

In the role of Business Development Manager for Healthcare Warehousing & Distribution you will be asked to build a pipeline and secure new revenue for our Warehousing & Distribution services in Italy. You will work closely with our Enterprise and Small Medium Business sales team to do this along with your own self‑led efforts based on your knowledge of the market.

We’ll offer you a compensation package equal to the experiences you gain. If you demonstrate positive capabilities, attitude and results, there will be many opportunities for you to grow your career and upskill at a greater level within UPS.

What you’ll get
  • A salary in the region of €66,000 per year, complemented by an annual performance‑based commission of up to €28,000 and the opportunity to earn an additional 15% of the base salary via the Management Incentive Plan (MIP), contingent upon overall company performance

What you’ll do
  • Generate and qualify leads
  • Receive and work leads from European and Global Sales partners
  • Source and develop client referrals
  • Develop and maintain a customer pipeline using Salesforce
  • Prepare sales action plans and strategies
  • Schedule sales activity
  • Lead and deliver commercial proposal development working with a tender management team
  • Negotiate and agree commercial terms with the client, and conclude legal contracts
  • Contribute to strategic considerations for UPS Healthcare, identifying and sharing insight gained from clients and other market contacts
What you’ll need
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Logistics Industry, preferably in different roles
  • Knowledge of Healthcare & Pharma Logistics
  • Thorough knowledge of warehousing & distribution
  • Proven sales track record and appetite for new business acquisition
  • Fluent Italian & English language speaking and writing proficiency
  • Working skills in other languages beneficial
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to support the development of products and services
  • Broad management skills
  • Sound commercial & financial understanding
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Flexible attitude
