An international automation company is seeking a Business Development Manager in Italy to drive sales and build relationships with strategic accounts. This remote role involves new business generation, collaboration with partners, and requires a background in engineering or business. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial automation, and must be fluent in English and Italian. Occasional travel for client meetings and trade shows is expected.

Universal Robots is looking for a new colleague to join us to continue our growth. We sell our products through distributors and certified solutions partners, so you will work in close collaboration with these. Your responsibility is to ensure revenue growth with our current and new Strategic Accounts in the Northern part of Italy across various industries. The job is remote, with occasional visits to the Turin office.

Responsibilities
  • New business development: generate new pipeline by prospecting and hunting activities and ensure repeat business at these accounts.
  • Cooperate with internal colleagues and our existing partner network in the territory to increase revenue and grow the business to meet ambitious growth targets.
  • Travel to meet clients, support our partners, carry out demonstrations and attend trade shows; this is done in close cooperation with our marketing department.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Sales and business development experience; ability to work autonomously and in a team; strong time management with CRM reporting and accurate forecasting.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in business and/or engineering (robotics and automation preferred) or related subject.
  • +3 years of experience in sales; experience in solution/project sales involving technical products is preferred.
  • Experience working with solution partners; proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Italian; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365; driver’s license Category B.
  • Strong understanding of the value proposition to end users; hunter mentality combined with team collaboration; ability to manage opportunity funnel, forecasting, and action plans focusing on strategic accounts.
  • Experience in industrial automation; full technical training will be provided; role supported by technical support engineers in the territory.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% overnight or as required; creativity and strong communication skills.
