A private research institution in Trento seeks a Developer to contribute to software components and testing in various research projects. Candidates should hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with programming skills in C/C++, Python, or Java. Responsibilities include software development and maintenance, collaboration in testing phases, and analysis of software quality. This full-time role offers a fixed-term contract with gross annual salary around €29,800 plus bonuses.
Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) is a private research institution devoted to excellence in research in numerous disciplines and designated to the role of keeping the Autonomous Province of Trento in the mainstream of European and international research. Each research area is assigned to a specific research center, for a total of twelve. The FBK Center for Digital Industry (DI) Center it focuses its research on digital technologies for the various domains in industry (e.g., manufacturing, aerospace, railway, automotive, energy, agriculture, etc.) by creating applications for critical systems, adaptive and autonomous systems, advanced perception, diagnostics quality control and prediction systems. Further research areas include precision farming, robotics, metrology, cultural heritage (in particular 3D modeling) and geomatics.
The candidate will work in the scope of the projects of the SE unit, with the role of Developer. This role requires contributing to the design, development, integration, and testing of software components, in the context of various research and innovation projects, including intelligent multi-agent based design and testing approaches; search-based and generative AI techniques for the automated generation of software tests; and the testing and development of complex control systems for space and railway applications.
Typical tasks will include :
Type of contract: fixed-term contract
Working hours: Full time (38 h per week)
Start date : Preferably March 2026
Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extending the contract depending on funding
Workplace: Povo, Trento
Gross annual salary: about € 29.800, plus objectives achievements bonus
