Provide advice and technical skills to ensure the transparency, accountability, efficiency and safety of PTFI's Corporate infrastructure development resources as per global best practices for the mining industry. The Manager is also responsible for co-chairing PTFI’s Risk Register process, which identifies, prioritizes and manages PTFI’s key business risks.
Additional Responsibilities
- Analyze, review, and evaluate all community issues in coordination with other related departments as well as preparing recommendations and reports in response to the issues in order to ensure the achievement of department goals.
- Provide optimal technical and expertise support; and conduct detailed technical review of issues including provision of recommendations which are in line with approved community objectives.
- Provide educated input or recommendations to senior management as required.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to the local national workforce.
- Produce management reports outlining analysis of issues progress and recommendations.
- Oversee and supervise handover process related to community development projects to ensure due process is taken for the sustainability of the company’s investment.
- Coordinate and communicate with relevant departments to ensure effective interactions.
- Support leadership and technical input for community activities.
- Conduct benchmarking evaluation and proposed design solution for community issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in community development, public policy, international relations, and or business management with minimum of ten (10) years managerial experience and a strong background in socio – economics.
- Bilingual (Bahasa & English). Fluent English and Bahasa Indonesian skills - both spoken and written.
- Experience working in Indonesia, preferred experience in relations development.
- Strong communication, safety knowledge, project management, and leadership skills.
- Advanced computer literacy.
- Relationship and report building skills - needs to be able to work with people of different backgrounds and cultures (Papuan, Indonesian and expatriate) and at various decision‑making level.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Presentation skills - both oral and written.
- Strategic planning skills - both short‑ and long‑term.
- Creativity - ability to create and implement new programs and policies.
