Job summary

A coffee retail start-up in Indonesia is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee inventory management, optimize purchasing strategies, and ensure operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of supply chain experience and excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-growing environment as the company expands both nationally and internationally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in supply chain, preferably in a large-scale Catering chain.
• Experience working in a matrix organization of business units.
• Strong analytical skills for inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Deep dive into weekly/monthly forecast review with R&D, sales, and marketing.
• Review target stock implementation and optimize safety stock coverage.
• Analyze supply management performance metrics against objectives.
• Provide guidance on strategic purchasing and risk mitigation.
• Optimize preventive maintenance of coffee store equipment.
• Set up customer relations and understand feedback.
• Prepare function reports and present insights to senior management.

Job description

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above in supply chain, food, business or related field
• Min 5 years experience working in supply chain, large-scale Catering chain experience preferred
• Experience working in a matrix organization of business units and business functions
• Proficient use in office, better to have experience in ERP, CRM , WMS, etc
• Proficient use in English/Mandarin, strong at communication
• Strategic thinker, results-driven, and able to work under pressure

Job Descriptions:

• Deep dive into weekly/monthly forecast review with Research and Development, sales and marketing, discuss and align major changes about future demand
• Review the target stock implementation and optimize the safety stock coverage, analyze the excess and slow-moving inventory, reduce unhealthy inventory with cross functional teams
• Collects, analyzes, and summarizes supply management performance metrics against objectives including on-time delivery, and lead time. Communicate results and work with suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide professional guidance to team on strategic purchasing, mitigate supply chain risk by diversifying suppliers and ensuring contingency plans
• Responsible for continuously optimizing preventive maintenances of Coffee store equipment, provide formal supervision to staff in the engineering team, conduct performance evaluations and coaching
• Set up good customer relation within assigned areas and continuously map and understand customer’s needs and feedback.
• Prepare related function reports and present insights to senior management
