Job summary

A global engineering firm is seeking a Structure Engineer to support the expansion of the largest offshore oilfield in Qatar. This role requires a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and over 4 years of experience in designing offshore structures, particularly FPSO modules. Key responsibilities include detailed design of primary nodes and secondary steel structures. Proficiency in SACS and STAAD PRO software is essential, along with a solid understanding of applicable offshore design codes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with average experience of 6–10 years designing FPSO modules.
• Strong background in fixed offshore structures for upstream oil and gas projects.

Structure Engineer

KBR is looking for a Structure Engineer to support the largest offshore oilfield in Qatar, Bul Hanine. This will play a vital role in the country's oil production portfolio. The expansion project is part of Qatar's broader strategy to sustain and enhance its oil output while simultaneously investing heavily in its liquefied natural gas (LNG) production growth. This role will perform global analyses of offshore structures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed design of primary nodes
• Create detailed design of secondary and tertiary steel including equipment supports, access platforms, material handling structures, monorails, stair towers, etc.
• Compile design reports

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related engineering field
• 4+ years of experience, with average experience of 6–10 years of designing FPSO modules and fixed offshore structures for upstream oil and gas projects
• Proficient in SACS and STAAD PRO software
• Good knowledge of the latest revisions of offshore design codes including:
  • ISO 19901-3
  • ISO 19902
  • AISC-360
  • Applicable API and DNV codes
