As a Senior Pipeline Designer, you will be responsible to design/drafting and to create precise 2D drawings and 3D models, analyze technical issues, and support the development of engineering documentation. This role will also involve evaluating design alternatives, preparing technical queries and deviations, finalizing documentation, and reviewing the work of others to ensure quality and compliance.

To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry and 5 years of experience in the relevant discipline.

What You’ll Do

We are looking for a Senior Pipeline Designer to join our team in Indonesia. The role responsibilities include:

  • Collect and analyze technical data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed 2D drawings and 3D models in support of engineering and design requirements.
  • Assist in evaluating technical issues and determining viable alternate solutions.
  • Identify pros and cons of proposed design approaches and support the decision-making process through clear recommendations.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of official project documentation including Technical Queries (TQs), Technical Deviations (TDs), and other change control documents.
  • Create final documentation packages that incorporate all relevant technical information and comply with internal and client standards.
  • Pursue necessary internal reviews and approvals to ensure documentation meets quality and procedural standards.
  • Review and provide feedback on documentation or designs prepared by other team members, and authorize work completed by direct reports where applicable.
  • Support design improvements, standardization efforts, and contribute to technical best practices within the team.
Qualifications

What You’ll Have: We are looking for a Senior Pipeline Designer to join our team in Indonesia. The role responsibilities include:

  • 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry and 5 years of experience in the relevant discipline.
  • Experience in related industries such as environmental, operations, maintenance, fabrication, or construction. Skills in estimating project costs and writing proposal content.
  • Interface with other disciplines to obtain input for designs and drawings and develop clash-free designs.
  • Identify technical problems and contribute possible solutions.
  • Conduct self-checks on drawings/sketches and review others’ work within own experience and competence level.
  • Knowledge of offshore pipeline routing considering regional and local geohazards (e.g., seabed profile, slope gradients, gullies, pockmarks, sand waves, faults).
  • Knowledge of offshore pipeline crossing, pipeline span rectification method, and pipeline pre/post-trenching design.
  • Knowledge of pipeline shore approaches including HDD or open-cut methods.
  • Ability to calculate soil removal and soil/rock backfill in pipeline trenching.
  • Knowledge of Pipeline Field Layouts, FPSO Approach Drawings, Alignment Sheets, CCS Injection Well Site Approach, Shore Approach, Crossing Drawings, Pipeline Buckle Arrestor Drawings, Pipeline Coating Drawings, and Pipeline Stabilization Design Drawings.
  • Experience working in multi-national teams within a major project environment.
