This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Mergers & Acquisitions Specialist - REMOTE. In this role, you will impact the strategic direction of the organization by supporting the full M&A lifecycle and conducting thorough cybersecurity assessments. Your work will involve detailed evaluations of target companies and collaborating with various departments to ensure effective deal structuring. By identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our partner’s assets. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the success of major acquisitions and integrations in a dynamic environment.

Accountabilities
  • Support the full M&A lifecycle: sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, negotiation, and post-merger integration.
  • Perform financial, operational, technology, and strategic assessments of target companies.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Development, Legal, Finance, and Business Unit leads on deal structuring.
  • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments on potential acquisition targets.
  • Evaluate maturity of information security programs (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2, CIS).
  • Identify vulnerabilities, data exposure risks, breach history, and technology gaps.
  • Assess compliance with U.S. regulations.
  • Recommend risk mitigation strategies and cost estimates for remediation.
  • Develop and execute cybersecurity integration plans.
  • Monitor remediation activities and ensure adherence to corporate cyber standards.
