About the role

Chora Restaurant and Bar, a renowned dining establishment in the heart of Ubud, Bali, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Hostess to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Host/Hostess, you will play a pivotal role in providing an exceptional dining experience to our valued guests. This full-time position is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our front‑of‑house and creating a warm, welcoming environment for all who visit our establishment.

What you’ll be doing

• Warmly greeting and welcoming guests upon arrival, ensuring a memorable first impression
• Managing the seating chart and coordinating with the service team to ensure efficient table turnover
• Providing knowledgeable recommendations on the menu and overall dining experience
• Handling reservations, waitlists, and any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Monitoring the flow of the dining room and adjusting seating arrangements as needed to optimise efficiency
• Assisting the management team in training and supervising the hostess staff
• Maintaining a clean and organised front‑of‑house area to uphold our high standards of hospitality

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar Senior Host/Hostess or Maitre D’ role within a high‑end restaurant or hotel setting
• Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine passion for hospitality
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to handle various guest situations
