A resource and mining company in Indonesia is seeking a Senior Geological Resource & Scheduling Engineer. Responsibilities include verification of geological data, development of block models, resource classification, and preparation of reports. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in geology or related fields and 3–5 years of relevant experience, along with proficiency in specialized software like Micromine. The role requires strong analytical skills and English proficiency at the intermediate level.
Verification and processing of geological and analytical drilling data.
Development of block models of deposits using specialized software (Micromine, Surpac, Datamine or similar).
Geological resource classification and estimation, including preparation of resource reports in accordance with SNI, Peraturan Menteri ESDM, and JORC standards.
Assessment of geological risks, including geotechnical and hydrogeological aspects.
Classification and estimation of mineral reserves in accordance with ESDM standards, including preparation of reserve estimation reports.
Development of long‑term mine plans optimized for budget, production forecasting, and resource constraints.
Optimization of mining sequences, including pit design, road layout, and infrastructure placement.
Updating of block models for deposits and pits upon receipt of new or additional data.
Recording, systematization, and analysis of discrepancies between block model / reserve estimates and actual production, with development of improvement actions.
Coordination with Geological and Mining divisions to ensure accuracy and necessary adjustments in mining operations, including methodological guidance and oversight of medium‑ and short‑term mine planning.
Preparation of reports, presentations, and recommendations for company management and government regulators.
Participation in technical studies, resource audits, and due diligence projects.
Contribution to the development and improvement of data management, geological modeling, and mine planning systems.
Bachelor’s degree in geology, mining engineering, or related disciplines.
3–5 years of experience in resource modelling and mine planning, with knowledge of resource geology including reserve estimation methods. Experience across multiple project stages (exploration, design, operations) is preferred.
Proficiency in specialized software (Micromine, Surpac, or equivalent).
Knowledge of reporting standards for resources and reserves: SNI, Peraturan Menteri ESDM, JORC.
Data analysis skills: database handling, statistical modelling, GIS.
Basic knowledge of mine planning: open‑pit design, production optimisation.
Understanding of mining economics.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and responsibility.
English proficiency at Intermediate level.
