About the role

We are currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will apply your skills in data wrangling and advanced problem-solving to tackle real business challenges. You will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including business experts, product leaders, and tech-savvy engineers.

You’ll also work alongside a team of exceptional data scientists with varied expertise, spanning data engineering, machine learning and AI engineering, data warehousing, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data engineering services as a part of the big data ecosystem in Amartha
• Develop data engineering framework to simplify the day-to-day data science works
• Collaborate with the data science, product, and engineering teams to build a product solution with integrated analytics and/or machine learning systems
• Research the latest data and ML/AI engineering tools and frameworks that can potentially be implemented to improve the status quo
• Influencing the data-driven culture to the company

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in engineering or quantitative fields
• Proficient in setting up basic networking in a cloud system
• Proficient in DevOps best practices such as CI/CD or IAC
• Proven expertise in using Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiar with common data engineering tools (Airflow, dbt, Spark, etc.)
• Previous experience in implementing end-to-end machine learning in production is a plus
• Previous experience in building scalable real-time analytical solutions is a plus
• Proficient in tackling ambiguous problems with clarity and a structured framework
• Ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex concepts to non-technical persons
• Ability to seamlessly and effectively communicate from strategic to operational levels
• Strong resolve in facing uncertainties and new challenges
