Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small but dynamic team at Cendana Kokoh Abadi, a growing tax and accounting services company supporting Australian accounting and tax firms. We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager who can independently handle Australian tax compliance and bookkeeping work, while also managing and reviewing the work of junior accountants. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical accounting work and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review Australian tax returns (individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships)
  • Handle GST, BAS preparation and bookkeeping for Australian clients
  • Ensure compliance with ATO regulations and Australian accounting standards
  • Review work completed by junior accountants and provide guidance and training
  • Manage workflow, deadlines, and quality control for assigned clients
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience, with strong exposure to Australian tax
  • Proven experience preparing tax returns and BAS for Australian entities
  • Strong knowledge of ATO compliance, GST, and BAS
  • Experience in supervising or mentoring junior accountants
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA / CA (or progress toward qualification) – highly regarded
  • Prior experience working for Australian accounting firms
